Yes folks, RadioClassics Channel 82 is online now as part of the Sirius XM internet service (and available on the Sirius XM Phone App)!

Also check out my Facebook page where we do hourly updates of the satellite radio channel schedule

Some great stuff coming up this week including –

A two-hour all new to the channel Suspense block to mark the 70th anniversary of the radio launch of that long running series. The opening episode features Jack Benny as a Martian!

There are multiple Father’s Day themed shows airing this week including some comedies; Red Skelton Show, Jack Benny Program, The Life Of Riley and of course, Father Knows Best!

Plus I once again let my very own father pick a couple hours of shows. This year he has selected new to the channel offerings from Gunsmoke and Fort Laramie plus a great Frontier Gentleman and a half-hour Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar.

I have, not one, but two Paul Frees birthday week specials including some great new to the channel episodes. He stars as a voice impersonator in The Whistler episode “Fatal Fraud,” and plays a pompous actor in the western series Hawk Larabee. I also have Frees impersonating an absent Howard McNear as Doc on Gunsmoke and playing Dr. Dubose in the classic Escape production “The Fourth Man.”

Some other birthday tributes for the following; Mary Livingstone (Mrs. Jack Benny), Errol Flynn, Clayton “Bud” Collyer (with a Man of Steel Superman Marathon), Ben Morris (Dark Fantasy, Pat Novak For Hire) and announcer Norman Rose (Dimension X).

  1. Greg, I enjoyed hearing you relate your father’s age at the time of broadcasts. I do the same thing with my own parents.

“Gee, Mom & Dad were only 7 years old when this first aired.”

“Wow, this Jack Benny show aired while my parents were still gestating!”

  2. Really enjoyed “Dad” Bell’s Father’s Day picks. All my favorites too.
Greg, was wondering if any decendents of Bob Bailey’s have reached out to you as he is entertaining a whole new generation now? Was he as popular during the radio era as he is presently?

    1. I have heard that his niece is the President of the Food Network, but have never spoken to her.

  3. Sorry to hear of your loss Michael. The first one will be tough so hang in there. I had lost my dad several years ago. So those of you fortunate to celebrate, I hope you take advantage because life is too short.

  4. This is my first Father’s Day without my Dad….

I’ll use Greg’s dad and enjoy his selections….
