This year’s wall to wall Christmas week begins on Monday the 17th and runs through the 25th with additional holiday episodes sprinkled throughout the regular schedule for a few days before and after as well. So this week expect a few Christmas episodes as well as a number of birthday tributes.

We’ll celebrate Frank Sinatra with two birthday blocks featuring his work in Lux Radio Theater, Rocky Fortune, Suspense, Your Hit Parade, Radio Reader’s Digest plus guest appearances on The Fred Allen Show, The Burns & Allen Show…

We also have a centennial celebration for Jeff Chandler. The two-hour birthday block features the radio and film actor starring in Michael Shayne, playing biology teacher Philip Boynton in Our Miss Brooks plus featured roles in The Whistler as well as a Christmas themed episode of The Damon Runyon Theatre.

Additional birthday tributes for Edward G. Robinson (Big Town, Cavalcade Of America, Suspense, Screen Director’s Playhouse); Dorothy Lamour (Guest on Philco Radio Time, Jimmy Durante Show, Burns & Allen); Van Helfin (Philip Marlowe, Suspense); Jay Jostyn (Mr. District Attorney); Lillian Randolph (Birdie on The Great Gildersleeve); Dan Dailey (Suspense); Mark Stevens (Suspense) and composer Alexander Courage (Broadway Is My Beat).
