On To The Highlights:

The Adventures Of Ozzie and Harriet debuted on radio 75 years ago this week so we celebrate that with a hour of that famed comedy program as well as Ozzie and Harriet playing it straight in an episode of Suspense.

We also mark the debut anniversaries of The Cavalacade Of America (84th) with a couple new to the channel this week episodes plus celebrate the debut anniversary of Mr. Keen, Tracer Of Lost Persons (82nd).

Okay among the birthdays being celebrating on the channel this week; June Allyson (Screen Director’s Playhouse “Music For Millions”); Cornel Wilde (Suspense); Helen Hayes (CBS Radio Workshop); Jean Vander Pyl, (Father Knows Best, best known for voicing Wilma Flintstone); Paul Dubov (Adventures Of Frank Race, Jeff Regan Investigator); Sarah Churchill (Suspense); announcer Fred Collins (The Chase, X-Minus One, The Falcon); and composer Walter Schumann (Dragnet theme, Story Of Dr. Kildare).

Once again we celebrate Navy Day. It’s the 244th anniversary of the creation of the US Navy so we will feature Lux Radio Theatre’s “The Navy Comes Through”; Milton Berle Show “Salute To Navy Day” plus an episode starring navy vet, Dennis Day.
