Here’s what’s on tap this week:

We celebrate the 88th anniversary of Jack Benny’s radio debut with a First and Finale Special plus celebrate Studio One’s 73rd anniversary with that dramatic series radio adaptation of Emily Bronte’s “Wuthering Heights.”

We celebrate radio superstars Bing Crosby (Command Performance, Philco Radio Time plus the star-studded production “Dick Tracy In B-Flat”); Eve Arden (Our Miss Brooks and The Danny Kaye Show) and legendary radio writer/director Norman Corwin (Columbia Workshop’s “Odyssey Of Runyon Jones”, “Citizen Of The World”) Plus I will bring back a portion of my past interview with him on the eve of his 100th birthday.

Additional birthday blocks for Lionel Barrymore (Mayor Of The Town, Dr. Kildare); Dan O’Herlihy (Escape, Suspense and An American Gallery in which he plays famed 19th century Poet Longfellow); Glenn Ford (Suspense as well as Studio One’s version of the thriller “The 39 Steps” the same book was also made into 1935 Alfred Hitchcock directed motion picture) and Mary Astor (Campbell Playhouse’s “Hurricane”).

Also celebrated: Kate Smith (Command Performance); Ned Wever (Bulldog Drummond); British film star Brian Aherne; Harry McNaughton (It’s Higgins, Sir);  Rosemary Rice (Suspense, Archie Andrews) and Ian Martin (Sherlock Holmes).
