We celebrate the 87th anniversary of Jack Benny’s radio debut with a First and Finale Special plus mark this week’s Kentucky Derby with a two-hour horse themed block featuring episodes from The Jack Benny Program, Duffy’s Tavern, Boston Blackie, Gangbusters).
This week’s highlights are topped by the 67th Anniversary of radio’s Gunsmoke! Before it’s 20 years on television it began it’s decade long radio run on April 26th, 1952.
This week we mark the 84th anniversary of the national radio debut of Fibber McGee & Molly (April 16th, 1935) with episodes from early in the series two-decade long run. And we have a second block featuring that series (and more) as we mark the birthday of lead actress Marian Jordan.
