June 15th to June 21st, 2014 RadioClassics Show Schedules and Highlights

If you haven’t grabbed it yet, the new weekly schedule can be found by clicking to see Full Story & Pictures and then the following link; ShowSchedules

As the week begins with Father’s Day, I not only have a few appropriately themed comedy episodes from The Life Of Riley, Red Skelton Show and The Jack Benny Program, but once again my father, Dan Bell, has picked a couple hours of shows. This year he has  selected episodes from Gunsmoke, Have Gun – Will Travel, The Six-Shooter and Fort Laramie.

We also have four listener requests as we’ll spend two hours with Suspense are part of the 72nd Anniversary of the long running CBS series radio debut. Additional series debut anniversaries for Crime Classics, Murder By Experts and The Adventures Of Philip Marlowe. In the case of Marlowe, I will share with you three different actors playing Raymond Chandler’s private eye; Van Heflin, Gerald Mohr and Bill Conrad.

As to the birthday list we will celebrate Errol Flynn, Ona Munson, Bud Collyer (Superman), Ben Morris (Dark Fantasy, Pat Novak For Hire); composer David Rose (The Red Skelton Show), author Stanley Niss  (Gangbusters), sci-fi writer Murray Leinster (Dimension X, Exploring Tomorrow) and more.

And finally, while we are pretty much good to go, it’s not too late if you would like to join me on the 2nd Radio Spirits sponsored sea cruise on to the Caribbean leaving leaving August 10, 2014 from Port Canaveral, Florida on the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas. The special deals may be gone, but my cruise guy Larry can still set you up (if cabins are available). Just give him a ring at 800-269-2127 or visit http://www.cruisingwithgregbell.com/  And if you can’t join us this summer get a head start on future potential cruises by getting on Larry’s email “mailing” list.
