Speaking of motion pictures we’ll mark the birthday for the following lovely movie actresses – Carole Lombard (Lux Radio’s In Name Only); June Allyson (Screen Director’s Playhouse’s Music For Millions); and Janet Gaynor (Lux Radio’s A Star Is Born).

We also celebrate the birthdays of Bud Abbott; Groucho Marx; Damon Runyon; Barton Yarborough (Dragnet); Andy Devine (Wild Bill Hickok, Jack Benny Program); composer Walter Schumann (Dragnet, Dr. Kildare) plus announcers – Tony Marvin (Casey, Crime Photographer); Fred Collins (Dimension X, X-Minus One, The Chase, The Falcon) and Don Rickles (not THAT Don Rickles but rather the announcer for The Whisperer, Night Beat, etc).

Highlights this week include the celebration of some series debut anniversaries for Adventures Of Ozzie & Harriet (72nd), Dennis Day Show (70th), Barrie Craig Confidential Investigator (65th) and Rocky Fortune (63rd).
