Okay on to the highlights:
We are celebrating the following series debut anniversaries:
The Great Gildersleeve (79th) and Defense Attorney (69th) plus we celebrate the 84th anniversary of comedian Milton Berle’s radio debut.
Heading up our birthday tributes will be two different specials for movie star Alan Ladd (Box 13. Suspense, Lux Radio Theatre’s version of his western film, “Shane” plus Screen Director’s Playhouse production of “Chicago Deadline”).
We also celebrate the birthdays of announcer Don Wilson (Jack Benny Program); announcer Kenny Delmar (Alan Young Show plus Senator Claghorn on Fred Allen Show); Arthur Godfrey and Charlie Cantor (Finnegan on Duffy’s Tavern).
