The Adventures Of Ozzie and Harriet debuted on radio 76 years ago this week so we celebrate that with a hour of that famed comedy program as well as Ozzie and Harriet playing it straight in an episode of Suspense.

We also mark the debut anniversaries of The Cavalcade Of America (85th) with a new to the channel this week episode, “Grandpa & The Statue” starring Charles Laughton and written by renowned playwright, Arthur Miller.

We also celebrate the Frank Sinatra led adventure series Rocky Fortune’s 67th Anniversary.

Okay among the birthdays being celebrating on the channel this week; Hollywood leading ladies: Carole Lombard (Lux Radio Theatre’s “In Name Only); Helen Hayes (CBS Radio Workshop) and Janet Gaynor( Lux Radio Theatre’s “A Star Is Born”).

Additional birthday specials for Jean Vander Pyl, (Father Knows Best, best known for voicing Wilma Flintstone); Paul Dubov (Adventures Of Frank Race, Jeff Regan Investigator); Sarah Churchill (Suspense); composer Walter Schumann (Dragnet theme, Story Of Dr. Kildare) and the following announcers:

Tony Marvin (Casey, Crime Photographer); Fred Collins (Dimension X, X-Minus One, The Chase, The Falcon) and Don Rickles (not THAT Don Rickles but rather the announcer for The Whisperer, Night Beat, etc).
