In this week of St. Patrick’s Day we celebrate the holiday a couple different ways. We have the traditional two-hour comedy block with themed episodes from Jack Benny, Fred Allen and George & Gracie plus we bring back the Going Green block, a fun little suggestion by longtime channel fan Andrew in Pittsburgh. It features episodes from The Green Lama and The Green Hornet plus Have Gun Will Travel’s “Irish Luck”.

Heading up the birthday tributes will be a couple blocks for Mercedes McCambridge as she stars in Defense Attorney and Lights Out. She also fills in for Ingrid Bergman alongside Joseph Cotten (replacing Gregory Peck) in a radio adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Spellbound”.

Additional birthday tributes: Jerry Lewis (The Martin & Lewis Show) Ozzie Nelson (Ozzie & Harriet, Suspense); child voice specialist Richard Beals (CBS Radio Workshop, Gunsmoke, Suspense); announcer Art Gilmore (Adventures of Frank Race, Dr. Christian); musical director Rex Koury (Gunsmoke, Ellery Queen); Edward Everett Horton (Screen Guild Theater’s “Tailored By Toni”); Sir Michael Redgrave (Studio One); Edward Pawley (Big Town); Lawson Zerbe (Words At War, Inner Sanctum, X Minus One, Suspense); Karl Weber (Dr. Sixgun) and Kermit Murdock (The Chase).

We mark the 1st Day Of Spring (Saturday March 20th) with an annual special featuring the following episodes: Gunsmoke’s Spring Term, Mr. District Attorney’s Spring Fever, Harris & Faye’s Spring Is In The Air and The Great Gildersleeve’s First Day Of Spring.
