We are marking both International Nurses Day (May 12th) and National Nurses Week (May 6th – 12th) with a couple blocks featuring nurse themed productions from Inheritance, Dr. Kildare, Arch Oboler’s Plays, Lux Radio Theatre (radio adaptation of the war picture “So Proudly We Hail”). It’s also National Police Week, a tribute to law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We are playing episodes from Dragnet, Tales Of The Texas Rangers, Police Headquarters, Broadway Is My Beat, 21st Precinct, The Lineup and more. The nurse and police themed blocks are also available On Demand through the SiriusXM App.

We have birthday tributes for a number of familiar movie stars including: Katharine Hepburn (Lux Radio Theatre’s “Undercurrent”); Henry Fonda (Lux Radio Theatre’s “Mary Burns, Fugitive”, The Cavalcade Of America, Suspense); Joseph Cotten (Suspense, Hollywood Star Playhouse); Fred Astaire (Screen Director’s “The Sky’s The Limit”, guest on Burns & Allen plus The Bob Hope Show); James Mason (Suspense’s version of Agatha Christie’s “Where There’s A Will”) and June Duprez (Suspense).
