On to the weekly highlights:

It’s a very busy week folks! Led by some Day Of Infamy – Pearl Harbor Day 80th Anniversary specials. Norman Corwin’s landmark patriotic programs – We Hold These Truths and Screen Guild Theater’s production “Between Americans” which aired on December 7th, 1941 plus Lux Radio Theater’s “Air Force” and The March Of Time docudrama “The First Week At War”.

Heading up the birthday specials are two blocks for Agnes Moorehead (Suspense, Inner Sanctum Mysteries, Mayor Of The Town).

We’ll also celebrate Frank Sinatra with two birthday blocks featuring his work in Lux Radio Theatre, Rocky Fortune, Suspense, Your Hit Parade, plus guest appearances on The Bob Hope Show, The Fred Allen Show, The Burns & Allen Show…

Additional birthday blocks for the following folks among others: Edward G. Robinson (Big Town, Cavalcade Of America, Suspense, Screen Director’s Playhouse); Dorothy Lamour (Guest on Philco Radio Time, Jimmy Durante Show, Burns & Allen); Kirk Douglas (Suspense, Academy Award Theatre and The Screen Director’s Playhouse); Fay Bainter (Lux’s War Against Mrs. Hadley); Arch Oboler (Lights Out); Douglas Fairbanks, Jr (Academy Award Theatre, Suspense, Jack Benny Program);  Victor McLaglen (Academy Award Theatre’s The Informer); and author Dalton Trumbo (“Johnny Got His Gun”).

This year’s 7 days of all Christmas show begins on Monday December 20th, but as we get closer expect more and more holiday offerings sprinkled throughout the regular rotation.
