This week we celebrate some series anniversaries including: My Friend Irma (75th); Bulldog Drummond (81st); Lights Out (87th) and Fibber McGee & Molly (87th).

Speaking of Fibber McGee and Molly, that series also gives us our lead birthday tribute as we celebrate Molly actress Marian Jordan (April 15, 1898 – April 7, 1961). Not only will she star in multiple episodes of her comedy series, Marian and husband Jim also re-create for radio their work in the motion picture “Heavenly Days” plus play it straight in the thrilling Suspense offering “Backseat Driver.”

Some of the other birthday tributes include ones for: Sir John Gielgud (Sherlock Holmes); motion picture leading man William Holden (Suspense, Bob Hope Show); movie actress Joan Lorring (Suspense, Inner Sanctum Mysteries); Les Tremayne (The Thin Man, The Whistler, Inner Sanctum Mysteries); Joan Alexander (Lois Lane on Superman, Ellen Deering on Philo Vance); Paul McGrath (Inner Sanctum, Suspense); Sylvia Picker (Box 13); Hans Conried (The Life Of Riley, My Friend Irma, The Whistler) and Arthur Lake (Dagwood in Blondie).

And finally, as this week ends on Easter Sunday, we bring back Easter comedy offerings from Phil Harris & Alice Faye, Our Miss Brooks, Fibber McGee & Molly, Jimmy Durante Show, The Life Of Riley, The Great Gildersleeve and Baby Snooks.  And also two Easter religious episodes The CBS Radio Workshop‘s “The Son Of Man” as well as The Family Theatre broadcast, “The Passion and The Death”.
