We are marking both International Nurses Day (May 12th) and National Nurses Week (May 6th – 12th) with a couple blocks featuring nurse themed productions from Inheritance, Dr. Kildare, Arch Oboler’s Plays, Lux Radio Theatre (radio adaptation of the war picture “So Proudly We Hail”). They are also available On Demand through the SiriusXM App.

We have birthday tributes for a number of familiar movie stars including: Katharine Hepburn (Lux Radio Theatre’s “Undercurrent”); Joseph Cotten (Suspense, Hollywood Star Playhouse); Fred Astaire (Screen Director’s “The Sky’s The Limit”, guest on Burns & Allen plus The Bob Hope Show); Mike Wallace (announcer on Sky King and Meet The Meeks); James Mason (Suspense’s version of Agatha Christie’s “Where There’s A Will”) and June Duprez (Suspense).

Additional birthday specials for boxer Joe Louis (guest on The Jack Benny Program); TV legend Phil Silvers (in a Suspense episode); British writer Daphne du Maurier (Lux Radio Theatre’s version of “The Birds”) and author Leslie Charteris (four episodes of The Saint).
